Student Leaders Camp 2007

Programme sucked. Really. I pity the participants. Good thing I went late. The whole day was just talks talks and more talks. The only thing that made it better was the campfire. MCs were Shak and Eddie. I gotta say, it was quite good. Next thing that made it better was the unofficial night activity. Night Walk! You guys better thank the seniors who went even though we were not supposed to. Night Walk is a tradition passed down since we were Sec 1. Sec 1 and Sec 2 have not experienced it before. They were like damn scared. Seniors love Night Walks, cos we get to lead and disturb the juniors. Splash cold water, whisper into their ears, tickle them, scare them and other stuff and they are all blind-folded. Now here's the catch, they are not allowed to scream. Some people think they very smart, try to tie their blindfold in a way that they can peep out. We still managed to prevent that. If any of them still managed to peep, it was only at their feet. They were split into groups. This time the Night Walk was not that great. We were restricted into only some areas. Seniors should know why. A lot of things happen before. The NPCC room area was out of bounds. Very recently got people see stuff. I was leading/disturbing one group, then Si Ting kept flinging her hands out and whacked me. Anyway the group I was leading split up and I took the back part. All girls. more difficult to lead cos they everything also scared. I led them into the toilet, I told them it was the study corner. Plan was to tell them they were in the toilet and tell them a story of the toilet. The toilet they were in did not have any history but another toilet did. But I couldn't cos Shronn kept holding on to me, Debra was screaming at me and Yi Han kept trying to feel where they were. So I just had to walk around the toilet telling them stuff. Eventually, I just walked out of the toilet with them still inside. They ran out after that. I received a beating from some of them. I lead another group in and left them in there. After a while, I told them to remove their blindfolds and they found themselves in the toilet.
At night, some of the juniors don't want to sleep. The seniors never sleeps during camps like these. We sat around telling ghost stories. Zhi Kai then lead a group of guys twice to go ghost-hunting. They claimed they saw something on the second trip. While they went off, only me and Cazua stay with the girls. They say when they peep into the CCTV monitor, they saw a face looking into it. That's it! They went in big groups mah, of course they won't see a thing. Everywhere in my school is dirty. The canteen is the safest. Rumour has it that the canteen benches is the cleanest of all.
Debra kept scolding me cos of the Night Walk, saying that we shouldn't do all those stuff to them. That is actually a purpose of the game. What they experienced was not as bad. My batch and the batch after me was the worst and yet the best. I remember locking Shak up in the toilet alone. And he whacked me for that, finding out 2 years after that incident. I almost had a similar experience. We were left behind at the study corner with the trees. The scary study corner.
After that, the girls want to sleep but they scared to sleep in their room cos only 7 of them. So I bring them to my classroom, 4E3. Got aircon okay? Accompany them, some others came also. Wait until some of them fall asleep then I went to 4E2 to play PS2. Ahaha. At around 5am. Me, Steven and Hon Xuen went to the toilet. Then we saw Mr Paul Lim walking around. Then we go warn the PS2 people. We were on the 4th floor, which was out-of-bounds to everyone. Off lights, off projector and hide. I went out and saw him coming up the stairs, then I went back into the room and hid. But he didn't come in. We just play until next morning. Zhi Kai went around putting colgate on people's faces.

Next morning, warm-up. Run round the canal. Breakfast then Station games. Sports Leaders went to Jurong Stadium for their own programme. Student Council stay in school. I just went around, sometimes following Group 1. My favourite station was dunno-what number. I only know Wee Keong was the game master. Game was to stay still for 2 minutes, anyone move add another minute. I went there to disturb them. I disturbed 3 groups. Disturb as in making comments and talking to them. Cannot touch them. These 3 groups had different names I called them because of their pose. First group, the Spiderman/Buddha group cos they were doing that hand thing. Second group, X-Men. Their arms were crossed into an X. I had problems thinking of a name for the third group. Their pose is damn funny and damn weird. Zi Jie and Yong Yao were sitting back to back. Farez was kneeling next to them with his face in between their backs. Najib was squatting over Farez and Edna was bending on Najib's back. Shit should have taken a photo. So anyway, after looking at Zi Jie and Yong Yao, I called them the New Kappa. You know Kappa's logo. The two geezers sitting back to back? Yeah.
So after that, clean up, prize presentation and dismissal. YES!! Went to the coffeeshop to eat with some of the seniors. I'm considered a senior cos I already stepped-down. After I reached home, had a long, hot shower. Then I dropped onto bed and fell asleep.

Only to wake up 2 hours later for Maths Tuition! That was yesterday, today I have make-up Maths Tuition cos I didn't go last week. Although the camp programme sucked, I dunno why but I still miss it.
