First Ever A Div Match

Played my first A div hockey match against SA. FWAAH! They're like the 2nd-best hockey team and we fielded an inexperienced squad, all J1s and 3 J2 floorballers. The J2s got dropped because of something that happened. We expected to lose really badly for the match, but we only lost 5-0. Not what we expected, in fact, at 5-0, we still got a "reward" from Mr Tan. Free drink from the canteen hahahaha. Was in the first line-up. Played as centre-back, with Philo(phile) on my left. Mercury left-back, Fook right-back and Ryan sweeper. Had to do alot of work at the beginning cos that was when the SA guys had alot of energy and were running around like crazy, plus Philo had a knack of pushing forward, although we aren't supposed to. Had to cover for him many times.
2nd half, Mr Tan told me to push forward sometimes, to play "umbrella in front of umbrella". Which is basically standing in front of the SA players when we're taking our 16-yard hit so that the hitter will have more confidence and that we can recover the ball easily. We played a "destroyer" game, which is just time-wasting. Whenever the defenders get the ball, we just clear it to the sides as hard as possible. I played for practically the whole match except for the last 5 mins, when I decided to let someone else take my place. Was subbed by Seet. I think I played well, everyone told me so.
Next Monday, versus AC. But I won't be playing, Mr Tan decided to let the J2s play their last match. Argh.
