The Stars and the Shit

Back from Kota Tinggi Camp. Quite fun. Many stuff happened. I'm skipping the not-exciting parts.

Day 1:
Assembled in school. Briefing, get onto bus, customs, sleep, reach the "resort". Kota Rainforest Resort. Who would want to go there? So anyway, first day event was the mountain hike. We packed the necessary stuff into our day-pack and set off. Took bus to starting point. Then trek trek trek, was fine at first, still had energy to sing and cheer.
The instructors told us 2 to 3 hours to get to the summit. Fine. But we took like 4 friggin' hours to get to the summit. When we reached the summit we didn't even knew we reached. The next 2 hours was spent of hiking to the campsite. 1 hour was in the dark. SO 6 hours total. Pfft. We still had to cook our dinner of Maggi Mee and Hot dogs and Baked Beans. We had some M-I-L-K too. We were told not to set up our tents, so we just slept on the hard ground. Now comes the main event. You know the title of this post? And my MSN PM? The entire camp suffered from food poisoning. Seriously entire camp. Even those back at the resort. Now the argument is that they had proper toilets. WE SHAT ON THE MOUNTIAN! Amidst the bushes.
There was one time me, Thet and Othman needed to take a leak, so we went in and it was dark. Othman went into a clearing first, followed by Thet and me. We shouted,"Is anyone there?" No reply. I turned on my flashlight, and right at the end was a really fat Indian student bombing some country. At the same time, Othman turned to look there and got the front view, Thet and me got the side view. The Indian dude just looked up and had thiis really priceless expression. We all just groaned and burst out laughing. I have that on replay in my mind. I can never zone out properly now.. Usually, I would never poop outside my comfort zone, but I really had to, so while shiting, had nothing to do right? So just gaze at the stars. It was really beautiful, seriously. Covered up the disgusting-ness of the poop lying around you. Saw a few shooting stars. Oh you know all the poop looked the same? Light brown and liquidy.
The night was damn cold. Some girls went brokeback. I think Thet and Sofy went brokeback too, as a joke.
So yeah, we shat on the mountain, next morning we saw the whole place filled with tissue paper. The worst part of that my group slept next to the designated "toilet". We hiked down the next morning, much faster. We spent about 2 hours on our own cos we got separated from the main group and it was much more fun.

Day 2:
After coming back from the mountain, we saw the next group of hikers. We all just laughed at them. Next activity was the waterfall expedition. Was raining so we couldn't carry on. Stayed at resort chalet with HOT WATER!! Which was the only proper bath I had. The rest was just powder bath or just a little water. Night activity was the Jungle Night Walk. I was seriously freaked out. Path in the jungle, guys solo walk through. Some stuff happened. Like there was this guy we thought he heard footsteps next to him. Something else but I can't say. This something else sort of links back to something that happened on the mountain. Sofy got into a quarrel with a guy, who was actually kinda innocent. Some Indian girl was making alot of noise in the jungle, Sofy just asked her to shut up. And this guy somehow took offence from Sofy's torchlight and they got into an argument. When it started, me, Thet and Othman stood up to break them apart. When I stood up I tripped over a rocked and was stumbling backwards, and the
girls thought I was possessed or something. Went back to the chalet, played cards, slept a very nice sleep. There was air-con too!! Slept on the floor cos there wasn't space on the bed. Was supposed to sleep next to Farhan on the small bed but I preferred the floor. More space. Ended up kicking Othman a bit without him knowing.

Day 3:
Nature Training Elements. We started going crazy about Indiana Jones here. There was this bridge we always had to cross to get to the canteen. And we would start humming the Indy theme song whenever we crossed. Each group did different things. My group did the river cascading thingy. There was a stream at the back of the resort. What we did was just to cascade down the stream in a tyre. The stream was BROWN!! Kay it was fun. Played around in the water. Went back to resort and saw 2 groups at the "Indiana Jones" station, they had to jump from platform to platform in a pond. My group stood there humming the theme song loudly. After lunch we went off for kayaking. Teamed up with Winnie and Thet. Kayaking was fun. At the main raft-up we had to stand up in our kayaks. We managed to succeed. But when we sat down, the teachers fell off their kayak. Twice! On the way back, we found a coconut and took it back to camp. That night we had a firefly river cruise. The fireflies was so beautiful. Caught a few but let them
go. Our boatman was so familiar with the place, he showed up monkeys, wanted to show us an owl and told us alot of things about the area. That night we slept in tents.

Day 4:
Last day. Only activity was the team dynamics. Something about promoting a home appliance. We were a coffee maker and I was the "sexy red button". HAHAHAHA. Cleaned up stuff after that. Had closing, which involved lots of cheering. On the way back, our bus was damn nice. Some of us sat at the back, which was in a "U" shape. Among the back was me, Farhan, Winnie, Sab, Eve, Carolin, Amirah, Wenling and Boo. We slept for a while only. Then all except Winnie, Eve and Sab woke up. Camwhored a lot with the rest. Another funny thing was Amirah wanted to stand up to change positions, she fell forward into Winnie who was still sleeping. Again another priceless reaction. Amirah was just struggling on Winnie. Winnie looked fierce, so me and Farhan just covered our faces and burst into laughter. Couldn't stop laughing for like 5 minutes. After that Sab and Eve woke up and joined in the camwhoring. All the way to customs. Continued after that to Singapore customs. Continued again all the way to school. My mum fetched
me there and I went to buy lots of pastries and juices from the petrol kiosk.


On Friday, supposed to go watch Indy with some of the guys. But too little people could go. So I went out with mah yuanching homies. Ehlex (Alex), fatboy (Zeyi), Zique (Haziq), YC (Yewchoong), Ameen and WHY (Hongyong). Watched Prince Caspian. The starting showed the Walt Disney sign. Zeyi turned to me and asked,"Indiana Jones is part of Disney, meh?" I just laughed at him. Quite a nice show. Kinda boring except when it gets to the fighing scenes. Really really cool.
Now I'm back and going off.
Peekchers another time. Gotta get it from the rest.
